Hi,
I'm getting messages in the application event log of our
2000 server saying that the user registry is not being
unloaded. This seems to fit the description of KB828153
which indicates a hotfix may be required to fix. there are
other references to this but they say that the problem was
fixed in SP3 which we have loaded.
Does anyone know if SP4 fixes this problem, or where we
can get the hotfix from?
TIA
Trevor

Thanks but....
Oops! Forgot to say; this is a terminal services server.
The normal "pleb" users won't be able to shutdown the
spooler service will they?

I am also experiencing this problem on a win2000 server
(and some w2000 professional pc's). Unfortunately, sp4
does not resolve the problem.

Try here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...6D-8912-4E18-B570-42470E2F3582&displaylang=en

Releases the registry hive and logs an event showing the offending process.
