User settings altered after virus removal

After removing the RandexJ virus. Windows 2k starts with
a bogus user (appended the string //09W85601 to the logon
name and created registry entries and program setting
that "hide" the users settings. Nothing seems to work, if
I regedit the user info back to the way it is supposed to
be the next startup resets the registry and files. If
anyone out there has seen this I would love some help.

Then it is doubtful you have really removed it. All the major A-V
sites have manual removal instructions, but possibly not yet for "J".
Reading the prior release's instruction may be sufficient.
