User Passwords

tim

I have 35 laptop computers that I would like to be able to
copy the user passwords or account information from one
laptop to another. Our security is changing and I now
need to have new passwords every 150 days. I would like
to be able to set up a master laptop, change all of the
passwords on that computer and then copy them to the
remaining laptops.

All of the laptops are stand alone, non networked running
the basic Win2K setup. Logon and passwords are required
for access.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hello Tim,
You cannot manage password changes in a NON-domain environment. You will
need to access each machine individually or create a batch file to change
your users passwords. See below...

Net User <Username> <newpassword>

Run this command (As administrator) for every user on each laptop and you
can effectively chang ethe user's passwords to what ever you like.
You can also script this change using information from the link below.
