User-defined sorting

Is it possible to create a user-defined field that will allow me to
custom-sort my picture directories? I've got lots of photos and videos
of my daughter (yeah, I'm an obnoxious dad) and it would be nice to be
able to sort and use the list in the order they were taken. The camera
numbers the files properly, but puts a different three character title
on the file depending on whether it's a picture or a video. It will
name a picture "DSC00100.JPG" but a video will be named "MOV00101.MPG"

Any help would be really appreciated...

Hi,

Try to use Windows Photo Gallery (or other similar soft). If your camera has
added EXIF infos to the pics it can be work fine. WPG also allows set date
of taken. Sorting by Date Taken is by default.
