User Data Folders

In my UserData directory (C:\Documents and Settings\Ron\UserData) I have 56
empty folders. Is there any reason there are so many, and can they be safely
deleted?

Thanks, Ron

Thanks again for the advise, I can do some more house cleaning.

I don't know if your familiar with the jv16 program, but it has a find empty
directory function in it. It found about 60 empty directories (C:\Documents
and Settings\Ron\Local
Settings\History\History.IE5\MSHist012003031720030318) all the empty
directories start with MSHist. If I try to find the IE5 directory in Windows
Explorer it doesn't show up. I can see the \History directory but no
\History.IE5. Is this some type of hidden directory, what would all these
MSHist directories before (obviously they have something to do with IE
history)? I wonder if it's safe to delete the folders in the History.IE5
with the jv16?

These folders should be safe to delete. These are the "weekly" folders that
Internet Explorer uses to store the history of where you have been surfing
on the Net. Normally they are removed when you "clear history" from the
Internet Options window. JV16 is a powerful program. Just be careful what
you delete.

Thanks again jopa66, more house cleaning today. jv16 does work well, I've
been using it for about 2 years now. Good advice, take your time, be careful
and pay attention because you can delete a lot of stuff with this program.
