I now have the same problem. If anyone can help me too, please do.
I have Windows xp Home edition. When we turn the computer on we suddenly
don't get the usual desktop display, just a window that says, "To begin,
click your user name." BUT THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN CLICK ON, except a "Turn
off computer" square at the bottom left.
I was able to bypass that window by clicking alt/contol/delete and I then
got a screen with a small window saying, "Log on to Windows" with a box
below that which has "Owner" in it and a box below that for a Password to be
entered. Since I don't have a password for Windows as far as I know, I tried
what a manual said, that "Owner" has "Administrator" as a default password,
but nothing worked.
There's no way I can clck on "Start", "My Computer" or anything else.
