"user account disabled"

I installed MS anti spyware. It removed all spyware and
now I cannot access the internet and i get an error
saying "user account disabled" and then i cannot access
my files.

It only does this when i try to access the internet.
When i start the computer it says that a file cannot be
found and displays an error message.

I run windows XP professional and i am on service pack 1.

Thank you for any help.

Does the message you get at startup reference "newdotnet"?

Please try the second remedy (the one for versions of XP preceding SP2) in
this KB article. You'll need to use the link to a second article, and
follow the steps in that article, I believe.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892350

As an alternative, WinsockXPfix, a third-party utility, can be used--here's
a link with an excellent tutorial on how to use it:

http://www.iup.edu/house/resnet/winfix.shtm

Please try one of these two repair methods, and report back with how things
work after that repair.

I believe that the error message you are getting at startup can be removed
by a further scan with Microsoft Antispyware, but can't be certain, since
you didn't post the content of the message.
