In our company, only authorized users with internet enabled IP addresses can
surf the internet, in other words, only certain IP adresses are allowed out
through the firewall (Cisco PIX) I have a MS Windows XP workstation that has
a non- internet enabled IP address yet it I can sit down and surf the web?
how this is I am not sure. when I set the workstation up I did use an
internet enabled IP address to pull down the Patches but when it was
deployed the IP address was changed to a non enabled number, so how am I
able to open IE and surf the web?
