Hi, I am using a modern PC with only USB intrefaces. I am also using a Garmin
18 GPS antenna + receiver in one. I like to use this with Microsoft
Autoroute. Here is the problem: Microsoft Autoroute only can work with a COM
port. How can i convert from USB to COM?

You can buy a USB to serial port cable. Just be sure that the cable box
includes the necessary software for your computer -- usually a CD. I got
one for about $15 for hooking my old Palm handheld to my new computer.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the tip, but as you can read i ONLY have USB port available on
the PC NO COM ports. I need some software to do the conversion from USB to
COM. OR when is Autoroute able to connect to the USB port?
