USB to ethernet?

Main PC connected to wireless modem/router via ethernet cable.
Laptop using wireless connection to router.
HP Deskjet 840C connected via USB to main PC.
At present main PC must be on to print from laptop.
How can I print from laptop without main PC being on?
Have looked at USB to ethernet adapters like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos...rements/ref=ed_tec_dp_2_1/026-6368173-2508462
but the USB end doesn't match, needs to be a B type to connect to printer
and couldn't find one like that.
Am I looking at this the wrong way altogether, how do others do it?
Assuming I can get the connetions right will the printer then need it's own
IP address and subnet mask and Zone Alarm configured to allow it?

Thanks for the replies, had heard of print servers before but didn't really
understand what they were, I thought they were only for offices etc.
The Mini Netgear one looks like just what I need.
