USB thumbdrive

I have a sandisk minicruzer with USB 2.0. My computer is almost 3 yrs. old
so it doesn't have USB 2.0. How do I get the message "high-speed USB device
plugged into non-hi-speed USB hub" to stop popping up in the system tray?

If the USB drive is not downwardly compatible with USB 1.1, don't plug the
drive in.

It is backward compatible but windows asks me to put it in a hi-speed hub
anyway. I don't have any hi-speed ports. The drive works fine, i just want
the message to stop popping up.

I just ignore the nag message.

My Sony device works fine.

I don't know a way to tell Windows to stop trying to help all the time
<hehe>.
