USB SP1 driver not working?

Hello,

I just reformatted my computer and installed SP1. I also
just bought a Lexar USB 2.0 JumpDrive Trio to use with my
Sony Memory Stick. Well when I plug in my JumpDrive, it
gives me a message that I am using a High Speed USB 2.0
device in a non High Speed USB hub. I have a MSI K7N2G-
ILSR NForce mobo with 6 USB 2.0 hubs. I have tried all
the USB ports and none work. Why is this not working for
me? Any ideas? Thanks so much in advance for the help!

Here is what is says:

HI-SPEED USB Device Plugged into non-HI-SPEED USB Hub. A
HI-SPEED USB device is plugged into a non-HI-SPEED USB
hub.

I am using SP 1a as well. This was supposed to be fixed
in SP1a. Now what? :(

Are you sure that your USB ports are 2.0 and not 1.1 ?

Have you checked the mobo manual?

Ya, they are. My NForce mobo has 6 USB 2.0 ports. The
drivers should be working but I am at a loss here?? I did
some research and Microsoft said that they supposidly
fixed this issue with SP 1a but this is not so obviously!
Lame, what is the point in buying a USB 2.0 mobo and a
USB 2.0 MS reader only to not be able to use either? Any
ideas? Thanks

I just went into my Device Manager and it says nothing in
there about USB 2.0 EHCI Host controller, they are
without any 2.0 notations at all. From what I have read,
they should be in there and the driver date should be 29-
Aug-2002 but instead it says 01-06-2002? Mmmmm??

Next step.

Have you tried the manufacturers website for both items to check for updated
drivers?

You may also want to check some of the other newsgroups eg.
microsoft.public.windowsxp.hardware.

It is possible someone else may have a similar problem.

Also I assume you purchased the mobo from somewhere local, so maybe there is
a conflict with the single units you are using.
