USB Port Device Error

I have two usb ports in the front of my computer that my computer don't
recognize at all, unless if I put something in. That don't even help because
it labels it as a unknown device. Also when I put a device in, it won't turn
on. I try reinstalling without any disks or CD's because my computer didn't
come with any and I try updating it to but that doesn't even work. Please
help.

Open up Device Manager and identify the maker of the USB port device.
Then go to the maker's web site and download drivers for the USB port.
