USB drive not resetting letters

Pete

Hello All,
I have a USB drive (removable Lexar flash drive) and on the desktop computer
it is initally assigned a letter. When I unplug the stick it will work fine
in the laptop or another computer.
When I plug it back into the desktop, it does ot assign the next aaliable
drive letter, it actually does not reset drive letters and adds one letter
to the last and then assigns it. Sometimes I have to go to the drive letter
z and reset the computer somethines for it to work again, then it starts to
assiigne letters unti I reach the end of the alphabet again.
Please help,
Pete

The only known reason for this behaviour is a software
called 'Spyware Doctor'. Uninstalling fixes it.
