USB 2.0 not working properly

Emachine t6532 AMD Athlon 3500+
2.21 GHZ 896mb Ram
USB 2.0

I am unable to read/write to flash drives and I just bought a new All
in one Cannon Printer that runs through USB. The system recognizes the
printer. When I try to print the paper feeds and then hangs. With the
Flash stick the system says new hardware detected but cannot save or
retrieve data from it??
I have my Cable Modem and speakers running through the USB and they
work fine?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Not sure if this will help... check the output of you usb hubs on your mb
some are limited to 500ma total for all hubs. If you have exceeded to
power provided by your mb some of the connect devices may not work
correctly. The items with the highest power draw and or the longest cables
would act up 1st. If this is the case a easy fix would be a power usb hub
