URGENT - Slow keystroke response in Excel 2003

Hi All,

One of users at my company have issue with keystroke response in Excel 2003
worksheet cells. When user hit some of the keyboard buttons it's take 3-5
seconds before it appears in the worksheet. Does anybody have some suggestion
how to resolve it without reinstallation of Excel? Thanks in advance.

You need to look for some reason for the slowdown. It could be that the
file(s) they are working with have lots of formulas that have to be
recalculated (slowdown would be when they move from an altered cell to
another), or they could be working with a machine that is perhaps older/less
powerful than other user's systems and it's in need of some hardware upgrade
such as added RAM. On that same line, perhaps they're trying to work with a
large number of applications loaded up at the same time.

You said "some of the buttons" - so it would be interesting to figure out if
there is anything special about those: which buttons cause the slowdowns?

If all things are equal, then you may not have much choice other than to
attempt to repair or remove/reinstall Excel 2003.
