[URGENT] Outlook Address Book and Active Directory

Eddy Yiu

I am using Outlook 2002 with LDAP (ie AD from Domain Controller).
When I open the Address Book during composition, all my existing users mail id can be located.

Recently, I have to add 2 new user to the AD. However, their mail id cannot be displayed in the Address Book like those existing ones. Yet their mailbox & mail address (if manually typed in) works perfectly.

Can anyone tell me why is that? Do I need to restart any service located in my Domain Controller?

Thanks a million!

What are you using for a search base in your LDAP address book? Reason I
ask is that I'm wondering if these 2 new accounts exist outside your search
base.

You can also try using the Windows Address Book to see if it can show them
when doing a search against AD. (The default LDAP address book in WAB
searches the entire AD DS. Also a great way of cross checking to see if it
is isolated to just MS Outlook.)
