URGENT Assistance Needed!!

I've been working with Frontpage for years and just recently, in the last day
have encountered error messages when trying to upload files. Trying to add
about 10 powerpoint presentations in .pdf format to a web page and I get the
following error messages:

1) The server sent a response that FrontPage could not sparse. If you are
trying to connect to a FrontPage server check with tthe servers administrator
to make sure FrontPage server extensions are installed properly.

2) Server Timed Out

ANY assistance or suggestions will be most appreciated!

Did you "check with the Servers Administrator to make sure Frontpage Server
Extensions are Installed Properly" - as the error message suggests ?

Sounds like your web server's problem; not a problem with FP itself.

After several attempts I was able to speak with someone with Earthlink, our
webhost. The representative I spoke with was able to upload files and even
created a test page that I was able to view.

I am still not able to able to import any files, powerpoint presentations or
pictures, I have tried unsuccessfully several times to import files either by
using the File-Import function and the file drag option. Nothing is working,
still getting the same error message (The server sent a response that
FrontPage could not sparse. If you are trying to connect to a FrontPage
server check with tthe servers administrator to make sure FrontPage server
extensions are installed properly). The representative I spoke with said
there is nothing else they can do as all seems to be working on their end.
She suggested I contact Microsoft.

Thanks.

1) this error can occur when the HTTP Keep-Alives option is not turned on in
the IIS management console on the host server.

2) this error can occur as a result of proxy servers or firewalls. Are you
using any on your pc? Is the host using any?

3) this error can occur if you have a pop up/spam blocker turned on.

Pepper;

1) I'll contact Earthlink again to see if the HTTP Keep-Alives...option is
turned on

2) We don't have any Firewalls but are using Ghostsurf, which I have just
disabled, I have to say though that we have been using this and up until
yesterday it has not been a problem.

3) No pop-up spam blocker

Thanks,
L

Pepper;

I called Earthink back to inquire about questions #1 and #2 (see below) and
spoke with a different representative who confirmed that the FrontPage
extensions were corrupted and they would have to be uninstalled and
reinstalled. He suggested I try to make updates again in 24-48 hours.

I wonder why I wasn't told that the first time I called.

I sincerely hope this fixes it. Thank you for your responses.
