Uploading files/photos

I am having difficulty uploading photos on the internet. Whenver I get to
the page on a site, including email, that has the browse button to locate
files, and hit that button, the web browser page that I am working on closes
without any explanation. I have tried different web browsers with no
difference. If anyone knows what might be causing this, or if anyone knows a
way to copy/paste the location bypassing the 'browse' button, please let me
know. Thanks
