Upgrading to Access 2007

I can't believe I am having such a problem with Access 2007!
I have a database (.mdb) which has gone through the transition of Office 95,
97, 2000 and 2002. When I try to load it into Access 2007, I can see the
words on the left (Tables, Forms, etc.) but there is nothing in the main
window. I have tried all sorts of conversion because the existing database in
2002 shows it is in 2002 format.
Another database I created in Access 2002 displays perfectly so I assume the
problem is because I am upgrading from previous versions.
Is there anyone out there that can help me with this? Could I email you the
database (it's not confidential, only my stock of military band CDs and DVDs
that I sell) so that you could make it work - this might be quicker and
easier than typing out instructions for me to do.
I am not a novice, I have been using computers since 1984 and can't believe
that this has had me bewildered for so many days. Please put me out of my
misery!
With grateful thanks in anticipation.

Oh God! How thick can one get! After three days of struggling with this
problem, I have just discovered that one has to now double click instead of
the single click previously used. Am I the only one to have fallen victim to
this Microsoft trap? Durrrr.

You have to double-click instead of single-click to do what? Every version
of Access I have ever used required that I double-click an object in the db
window to open it.

Yes, you are correct. Forgive the ramblings of one whose brain cells seem to
be dying at a rather speedy rate of knots. It is just a different way of
working and one has to get used to change or not bother changing in the first
place. Sorry everybody.

Steve,

If you'd like, you can change this behavior in Access 2007.
If want to open objects in the Navigation Pane with a single-click, follow
these steps.

1. Right-click on the very top of the Navigation Pane
2. Select Navigation Pane from the shortcut menu that appears
3. In the botom right corner of the Navigation Options dialog box there is a
section called "Open Objects with"
4. Select the Single-click radio button
5. Click OK to save your changes

Thank you so much for that tip. I was sure that this was possible, I am also
fairly sure that this is the way it used to be in 2002 version. Anyway, now I
am a happy Easter bunny. Thanks again to those out there who are prepared to
help others with their little problems.
