I want to upgrade my computer becasue its, well, slow.
Here r the specs-
Operating System - Microsoft Windows XP Home (5.1)
Processor - Intel Pentium 4 CPu 2.40 GHz
Memory - 192Mb RAM
Manufacturer - Packard Bell NEC

Its very slow and i want 2 get it faster, what do u think i should get

It seems like your CPU is reasonable, but your RAM is a bit lacking (and your graphics card unknown).

Do you have a model number?

it does everything fairly slowly, opening up programs, starting up...

my graphics card is SiS650

Well, your graphics card is not too good. Do you play alot of games?

You might want to add another 256MB ram in to your PC, as 196 is quite low these days.

Have you got many things loading up on startup?

12 on startup but in taskmanager the cpu use is always 100%

where could i get another 256mb

The best place to get memory from would probably be www.crucial.com/uk - as it is reliable, cheap and easy. But... you would have to fit it yourself.

If you aren't sure how to fit it, you may be best going to a local PC dealer. It is easy enough to fit with some basic computer knowledge :)

Try running "msconfig" from the start menu, under "run" and can you tell us what things are loading up under the startup tab?

how do i know which 1s are compatibal with my pc and which 1 is the best manufacturer?
