Upgrade Disc Question

My XP upgrade disc offers me the option of an upgrade (recommended) or full
install. If this is only an upgrade disc as it says on the box, why it the
full install option there?

Thanks

You can "clean install" from an upgrade disk. All you need is the previous
edition's disk for the installer program to check when it asks you to insert
it.

Upgrading doesn't necessarily have to be "over the top" installation.

Because Microsoft considers that an upgrade to XP consists of going
from an older qualifying version that you *own* (but not necessarily
have installed) to XP. If you do a clean installation, you are
prompted to insert the CD of that previous version as proof of
ownership.

The only difference between the Upgrade version and the Full retail
version is that requirement to show it the previous version when doing
a clean installation.

have anotehr computer. Can I use the same XP disc to upgrade my current Dell
