Updating Slides in PowerPoint 2000

I have a Powerpoint presentation that contains 20 slides and several
people share responsibility to maintain the presentation. Each person
is responsible for updating specific sections of slides. Currently, we
all work on our slides and then have to insert them into the current
presentation, deleting the old slides. Is there some way that I can
swap out the slides that are currently in the presentation with the
slides that contain newer information?

Without writing macro code to do the job, no, I don't believe so.

But depending on how the show's laid out, it might be simpler to re-create it
from all the different pieces each time rather than keeping track of what's new
and what's not.
