Updating antispyware definitions thru DSL router

Guest

I recently installed a DSL router for my Internet connection. Now when I try
to get new definitions for MS spyware (using auto updater), I get a "no
Internet connection can be found" error message.

I have checked and I can use email as well as other Internet functions. I
can also auto update Norton Antivirus definitions without any problems. MS
antivirus is the only problem area.

Any possible solutions? Thanks.

Seems it is the MS server not your machine...Run other spywear programs for
not...This has been talked about on the announcemts group for the last 2 or
3 days.

I have encountered the identical problem within the past couple of days.
I have reinstalled the MS spyware several times, and I continue to receive
the message that "no internet connection can be found."
I also have a DSL connection that has been working perfectly until now. I
also have Norton Internet Security 2005.
Is this an issue MS is working on?
Or is there something that I should be doing to change my configurations?
Thanks!
