How do I really know I have the latest update? Previously I could look on
Diagnostics and see the version number and something like 160/160. Have we
a Defender equivalent?

The version is on the home page at the bottom. You can
check for updates from the help(?) menu/aboutwindowsdefender

This is the current info from today's update:
Windows Defender Version: 1.1.1051.0
Engine Version: 1.1.1185.0
Signature Version: 1.13.1276.3

Too bad it doesn't give a date.

'Review Your History"
Detail should agree with Defender's Home Page & Help> 'about Windows Defender'
People ' in the know' post the current version signature at 'Discussions in
Spyware signatures'
