Ultra fast and small utility that helps you to uninstall various
software. It can be used instead of the standart unconvenient and heavy
"Add and Remove Programs". The program has lots of features and options
missing in Microsoft's (tm) applet.

Uninstall Tool 1.6.6 released
10/06/2006

Hi Peter,

Have you already installed it? Do the fixes address the "hardly to read"
issue for hidden programs?
Hi Jay,
Yes, I installed it. But those lines are still hardly readable. I don't
mind, because I don't uninstall those items. Maybe it's on purpose? You
really, really, really have to try to read it...

They are muted but easily readable on my machine. This is a
good way to instantly recognize that these item should not
be altered unless you know exactly what you are doing - it
keeps you from inadvertently removing something that should
not be touched w/o good reason. When you highlight them,
they instanly become easily readable. I think this is the
way it should be.

Hmmm, on a grey background it's readable when highlighted, on a white
background hardly. But I agree with you that it's good to have some kind
of visible warning.

I promise that the 1.7 release will be free of all these lacks above.

Hi Ilya!

Thanks for 'popping in'! May I be so bold to suggest white on plain red?
That signals that there is danger in these entries, while at the same
time having a good readability...

I know I will be asking the obvious, but when is 1.7 due to be released?
I like the tool, but it is so hard to read on these hidden programs (and
I want to know what is lurking there ).

Having said that, your small and fast program absolutely is a replacement
for that sloooooow MS applet! Thanks for making it!

Well, thanks for you comments. Actually 1.7 is gonna be released in 3
weeks (approx). It's new features:

- new ui, no tooltip - an info panel instead
- ability to clean up program installation folders after uninstallation
- fixes with hidden elements display
- smth more :)

Hi Ilya,
Nice you follow this too. Your program certainly beats Windows add and
remove with streetlengths! Good luck with 1.7 and thanks

Ilya,

Commenting a program is a good thing, since it may show a dev. where an
idea went astray, however is a program has other, very good features; these
should be commented aswell: It's a matter of balance (if possible :-D)

Your program is good, very good: I have a ship's container worth of
software installed (drivers, applications, whatever), and the "Add/Remove
Programs" applet is a fast as a snail at zero degrees Kelvin when listing
these. Your program *does* make a difference! Well done!!!
