Update MSAS and now error at startup

I got the notice to upgrade Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware
Beta software today. I did and when it started up it now
gives me this error in a small dialog window:

Unexpected error; quiting.

The gcasServ.exe process does exist but no icon in the
tray. I tried uninstalling it, rebooting and then
reinstall. Got the same results.

The error.log in the MSAS direcory has this entry in it:

429::ln 0:ActiveX component can't create
object::gcasServ:modMain:Main::6/30/2005 1:01:30
AM:XP:1.0.614

Any clues?

Can anyone tell me why I get the following error below?
Microsoft AntiSpyware tries to start up but I just get a
window pop-up tell me "Unexpected error; quiting". No
icon in the system tray after that message.

If no one can help maybe some one could tell me how to
manually remove this Beta just in case the normal Add or
Remove Programs method is not working completely? I did
already try to remove AntiSpyware normally and do a
reinstall but end up with the same situation.

Errors logged into Microsoft AntiSpyware ERRORS.LOG file:
429::ln 0:ActiveX component can't create
object::gcasServ:modMain:Main::6/30/2005 1:01:30
AM:XP:1.0.614
