update at microsoft?

I down-loaded an up-date at Microsoft for "Hi-defination
Cd's up-date". I'm sure you've already covered that
subject but I was wondering since I purchased a new DVD
player by Sony that claims it plays back all forms of
Video, will I now be able to play the movies I make on my
computer with Windows Movie Maker on this DVD player?
Also, since it will be high defination will they be like
a DVD?
I just can't see paying for a DVD program when the new
tech. will make it possible to do and play all. I just
hope the Microsoft High Definition CD is as good as it
claims. Is it?

Hi Lorie,

Can you be more specific about what you downloaded. Where did you go to
download it?

I'd like to check it out. Not knowing what you expect out of it, I'm
doubting that it does what you expect... but maybe it does.

Today's DVD players don't play CDs burned directly by Movie Maker 2.

In that case, then it has no effect on the CDs currently being burned by
using MM2, which had been under a HighMAT menu structure all along.

The update lets you opt for that structure when copying other files to a CD
when not using Movie Maker. The CD Burning... HighMAT page of my website
covers it.
