We have an access 2000 database with a password set. We also just updated
one of the pc's that uses it to Access 2007. Now on that pc we get "you do
not have permission p:\path_to_database for database object" I can open the
database from my pc which is still access 2000. Any ideas on what we need to
do to get the database open from the pc with Access 2007 now? Thanks very
much.

You have to set the directory where the db resides a 'trusted' in the 2007
environment. You can achiev this by using the office button -> Access options
(below right) - Choose Trust Center from the explorer on the left and click
the button trust center settings from the right -> Choose trusted locations
from the left and then click "add new location" and add the location where
the db resides.

Also make sure the macro settings are correct for this db to be opened. Use
same technique and look for macro settings...

This didn't work, I added the location of the .mdb database to the Trust
Center, but when I try to open the database it still has the same error. Any
other ideas? Does it matter that the server for the database is in Active
Directory?
Thanks again for any help.
