Unwanted Icon in Control Panel

I recently noticed that I have a new icon in my control panel. The icon has
no identification and if I right click and ask it to open nothing happens. I
would like to find out what it is and mostly like to know how to get rid of
it.

I would appreciate any assistance.

Start/Run/gpedit.msc. User Configuration/Adminsistrative Templates
Folder/Control Panel Folder. Select Show only specified Control Panel
Applets (right pane) properties. Select the enable button/click the Show
button.

A new window will pop up that will display control panel objects that are OK
to show. Items not on this list will not be displayed in control panel when
this feature is enabled.

Also, use as an example: Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\don't load

Network Connections = ncpa.cpl

Thanks, the utility worked fine. What is the best way to get rid of the icon
if it does not appear in add/remove?

I'm not sure I follow/understand your question. If the .Cpl doesn't list in
Tweak-UI you can fall back on the full system search for all .Cpl files on
your Windows Volume. Usually the name is indicative of what the .Cpl
represents. If unsure about one, you can simply rename it. For me any
file I need to temporarily change I use the extension .Org ( for Original ).
