unwanted dual boot screen

after format on re-install, get dual boot screen w/ option of previous install which no longer exists
Don't want dual boot; just single installation and no os choice screen
please help.

Right-click My Computer, choose Properties, Advanced Tab, Startup and
Recovery, Uncheck Display List of Os....

There's also a text file where you can actually edit the info (so it only
shows the current 2000 line), but I can't remember where it is. ;-)

It's boot.ini, but I wouldn't suggest anyone editing that file unless they
know what they are doing. You can pretty easily render your system
unbootable (and then you'd need to fix it with something like ERD Commander,
NTFSDOS, or the recovery console).
