"Unread Mail" Folder under Favorite Folders

O

Octavio

I was having unread things from MSN and other locations there, and since
every time that I opened Outlook I had a bunch of these that I never read,
my last delete apparently clicked the wrong button and I deleted the folder
altogether. I probably would not like it back since I never read the
contents, but let me ask, if any one knows how to put it back and how to
control what gets inside there, I will like to know just out of curiosity.
I did some look under Options, but could not find the setting's place.

Where are the settings for putting it back and to manipulate its contents?

Is this folder necessary?

Please advise.

Right-click Unread Mail, choose "Customize this Search Folder" and modify the
attributes so it looks in only those folders you want it to monitor and looks
for only those messages matching your desired criteria.

No. Just delete it, if you don't want it. It's not a real folder. It's a
search folder, monitoring your other folders to collect in one place all of
the messages that match its criteria. You can either change the search
parameters or just delete it without affecting any of your mail.
