unknown registry items

On your browser IE\tools\internet options\settings\view objects; there are a
couple of registry items under Program file marked as unknown, there was also
a couple of damaged files. One example is as
follows:{1D4DB7D2-6EC9-47A3-BD87-1E41684E07BB} When I click it, comes up
type: active X control and a code
base:http//ak.imgfarm.com/images/nocache/funweb and cuts off there. No idea
what it is at all.
I deleted the damaged files thinking that re-booting would restore whatever
it pertained too.
SP2 runs fine any ideas

You can use Google to search using that ID too

ie paste

{1D4DB7D2-6EC9-47A3-BD87-1E41684E07BB}

into Google and look at the entries that come up.
Search the page for the same string.

Looks like it's related to a screen saver you may have installed at some
stage.

Thanks I will do as suggested. Any suggestions about the damaged files
shown, I'm in another NG that is asking the same question and as yet no one
has the answer.

Yes it's fine to delete them. They are just activex components that you have
downloaded (either knowingly or unknowingly) while surfing the net. If you
ever revisited the websites where you picked them up, you would have the
option to redownload them anyhow (or it would be done automatically,
depending on your settings).
