Some how or other I was able to take a "raw" WD80HDD,
use "fdisk" on it, to create an "unknown partition",
rather than a "Primary-dos Partition", formatted it, to
which I then transfered a "ton" of precious files...
Note that these files were still accessable by the
drive with the previous O/S still in place.
I was preparing to upgrade my o/s from 98SE to XP-Pro,
of course now, my primary focus is in duplicating
the, "Unknown Partition", re-installing 98SE and
recovering those files...
to anyone who can assist me I would be eternally
grateful.
