Unknown device Intel Anypoint Adapter

I had to reformat and reinstall winXP. I am now trying to reinstall my
usb 10mbpsIntel Anypoint adapter. When I boot up with it plugged in to
a usb port, in device manager it does not list it anywhere. Under USB
it is shown as an unknown device. When I try to update the driver and
point it to where the file is with the xp anypoint drivers it says
that it can't dind the necessary drivers. It all worked fine before my
hard drive died and I had to do this reinstall. Although two years
ago, it took and tier 2 or 3 intel tech support person about a half
hour to help me thru the same problem. Unfortunately, Intel no longer
provides any support for the Anypoint adapters. Please help !

[the question mark at the end might need to be added manually]

Yes, Windows XP is supported by the latest AnyPoint(R) Connectivity
Suite software version 2.30.02. Users will need to download and install
the latest software to operate Windows XP with the AnyPoint Network.
