Universal Windows XP image for different Hw(e.g PIII to P4)

Rex

Dear Expert,

I'm looking for the formal procedure to create a Universal Windows XP image
for different hardware configuration. I find some information in Microsoft
e.g. sysprep and ghost, but I still cannot clone the P4 image to PIII.

Anyone can share the experience ?

Thanks a lot.

Regards,
Rex

If you are going to be a system administrator dealing with such things, you
need to learn to...

Search using Google!

Tou get you started, here are some links you will find useful in using a
single ghost image as well as other methods that in many ways are better and
more adaptable than imaging (albeit they are slower - they can be easily
used to create base images and instead of deploying a single image - you can
deploy one per hardware type.)

Single image (XP) for many different hardware types:

for a ghost and a sysprep version.
