Hi, Rob.
uninstal Windows 2000.

You DON'T "uninstall" Win2K. You simply delete it.

When you booted from the WinXP CD-ROM to install WinXP, you should have seen
a menu that offered to upgrade Win2K or to clean install WinXP on the same
partition or on a separate partition. If you clean install into a different
partition, then Setup automatically creates the dual-boot menu, preserving
both Windows installations.

You apparently chose the 3rd (dual boot) option, rather than the first
(upgrade) option, so now you have both Win2K and WinXP. To get rid of
Win2K, just delete its boot folder (probably C:\WinNT, but maybe not). One
quick way is to boot into WinXP, open a "DOS" window and type: rd c:\winnt
/s. The rd, of course, is Remove Directory; the /s switch removes all the
subfolders and files in one fell swoop as soon as you answer, "Yes, I'm
sure."

Then, to get rid of Win2K on the opening menu, you can either edit
C:\boot.ini (System Properties | Advanced | Startup and Recovery Settings
and click the Edit button) or run msconfig, click the Boot.ini tab, then
Check all boot paths.

You dont uninstall it. You delete the partition.
