Uninstalling Roxio DLA on Vista

J

Justin Haygood

I had Roxio DLA installed on Windows XP, which isn't compatible with Windows
Vista. Well, now I get an error message at every boot (annoying) saying its
not compatible. Uninstalling is fruitless since the check on Vista which
says its not compatible says the uninstaller (its Windows Installer based)
is uncompatible as well, so it won't let you uninstall it.

Any ideas how to get rid of Roxio DLA's driver files to get Vista to shut
up?

TIA,
Justin Haygood

Hi Justin,

I got a Dell PC with Vista installed out of the box and have the same
problem. So far I've seen no indication of any fix. I'd be interested to
hear if there is a solution. Not sure what causes it but IE 7 will stop
responding properly (right-click wont work and drop-down boxes stop working).

Roxio just came out with a fix patch for that problem last week.

Go here: http://www.roxio.com/enu/support/vista/d2d_update.html

They have the 32 bit and the 64 bit. This was for Roxio 9. You didn't say
which version you had.

In Vista the next time your message comes up for DLA problem, click on Check
for Solutions. It will then come up with this same link I just gave you.

Good Luck, hope it works for you. It worked for me.
