uninstalling bundled software that isn't listed in add/remove programs

Rick

my packard bell is riddled with software like aol, freeserve, windows xp
tour, various media players, lots of other useless features and animated
tours that i will never use.
unfortunately they do not list in the add/remove programs list so all i can
do is delete the shortcuts. but thes still slow up the operation of my pc.

how do i remove them - is there some kind of script i can enter into 'run'
that will uninstall all this crap and give me just a basic operating system?

thanks in advance.
