Unexpected file lock error on shared workbook

Hi

I have a shared workbook (it also contains macros) on a network, when one of
the users open it and try to save it, it gives error message.
"Unexpected file lock by user. Please try again...."

However when I save it, its ok before getting the error by other user but if
the other user gets the error and after that I also receive the same error.

Please guide me what is the problem and how can I fix it.
I amd using Excel 2007.

My problem is fixed.
Infact I put that shared file in a folder on network which was not
accessable to all users with full features and rights (like cut, copy, paste,
edit etc). Now I have asked administrator to make a new folder which would be
accessable to all users of that file with full features and rights.

Thanks to all who read and tried to assist me.

same problem,,,,

I have the same problem too. I shared my file (macro) to our shared folder. This file requires username and password. We were able to use the same file, even same username and password(though this one's our mistake) and edit some fields. We saved it and closed it. But aftr opening the file again and enter our username and password (this time different username and password), an error occured "Invalid username and password"..Is it really possible and convenient to use Shared Workbook to allow several users to use a single workbook? As of now, Shared Workbook is the solution to my problem but unfortunately it has some errors. Please help me..
