Under WinXP Pro, How can I Modify the Default Settings for the various "Open" Dialogues?

The View menu/icon for virtually all Open dialogues in XP Pro default to
"List." I MUCH prefer for the default View for all Open dialogues to be set
to Details"--not "List," so that I can scroll down a list of files rather
than scrolling horizontally through the list of files.

Is there any way I can change such defaults?

Hi Dick,

For Pro:

Go to Start/Run and type in: gpedit.msc then navigate to:

User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/ Windows
Explorer/Common Open File Dialog/Items Displayed in Places Bar.

Choose Enabled then paste or type the link to the folders that you want
listed.

Or...

Add Folders to the "Save As" Dialog (Places Bar) Line 118

Or use TweakUI/Common Dialogs
