Undeletable Files

Connie

I have copied files to my CD drive which I am unable to
delete. I found instructions on deleting files from the
temporary folder on this drive through My Computer but
they don't work. It says under Writing tasks there is an
option to delete temporary files but there is not. I used
to have detailed instructions on deleting undeletable
files but I can't find them.I've searched the MS data
base and find nothing. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

Hi
Just below "Write files to CD" should be the option to
delete. If not, try putting a CD in the drive and make
sure you select the files you want to delete.

There is no option to delete below them, Brian. However,
I can go to file and choose a delete option. I get a
message that these are "read only" and cannot be deleted.
It also says the files can be written and that will
replace files on the CD but when I try to write them, I
get a message that they cannot be "written."

Connie;
Try to change their attributes. Right click a file/General tab/uncheck
all attributes/click Apply/OK. Hope this helps.
