Cannot delete temporary files in CD queue

WinXP Pro SP2 on Dell Vostro 400... It appears that somehow or other I must
have accidentally dragged the entire contents of my data drive (about 20
gigabytes) onto the CD drive for burning. I keep getting the prompt that
files are waiting to be burned. When I click the delete temporary files link,
I get an error message "Cannot delete gobackio: Access is denied." and
instructions that a disk may be full, in use, etc. If I try to delete the
temporary files manually, it appears to actually be deleting them from my
hard drive.

Script

Open the Data drive in an Explorer window; maximize screen.
Open the window to the temporary CD files on top of the first window.
Click the "Reduce Down" button, if second window is maximized.
Click "Edit" > "Select All" in the CD window.
Drag the files "en masse" back to the Data drive window.
The temp files should disappear; the normal files should now be as they were.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, after dragging the "temporary" files into
the data drive window, I got an error message saying "Cannot move
[foldername]: The destination folder is the same as the source folder."

In a variation on the procedure below, I created an empty folder on my data
drive, selected all the files ready to be burned to the CD and dragged them
to the new empty folder on the data drive. They were all copied, and looking
back at the data drive, all the files were now in the single new folder I had
created. However, that folder now appeared on the CD ready to be burned list
as the only folder. It almost appears as though there is some sort of link
built between the data drive and the CD burner so that whatever is on my data
drive is set to be burned onto CD. Could it be an image file or something?

OK, I figured it out. I had used the Tweak UI PowerToy to change some of the
XP settings, and one I changed was the location of the CD-burner folder. I
had changed it to drive D: without fully understanding the consequences. I've
now retargeted it at an empty folder, and all is well. Thank you.
