Unable to write to CD RW after upgrade to Win 2000

MATSHITA UJDA330 Panasonic CD-RW 8x/4x/24x

I have the above CD-RW which was pre installed on my HP
Laptop computer. Omnibook XE3

The driver details are C:\ SYSTEM 32\DRIVER\\CDROM.SYS

FILE VERSION 5.00.2195.6655 or 2183.1 Driver Date
14/11/1999

I have recently installed Windows 2000 and now I have
problems writing to any CD-RW

I have tried several different types of CD but still no
luck.

I have used different writing software, Nero & Easy CD.

I always receive an error message, unable to write to disk.

Would appreciate your help and advice.

From following the Troubleshooter wizard think it may be
something to do with the SCSI.????

If anyone can help pls. I can read from CD OK.

What are exact symptoms?
I has troubles after installed SP4.

Adaptec ASPI 4.60 (never 4.7x) is the only one that works to me.
