unable to view w'98 client in xp network system

hai,

i have a small network with 5 systems networked in a
workgroup. 4 system with w'98 as os and 1 system with xp.
in all 98 system i am able to view and access from network
neighbourhood. in xp systems iam able to ping,search,map
all systems,but unable to view the connected systems in my
network places.

can any one tell solutions.

Hi santhosh,

Are you running any firewalls? The XP built-in firewall
must be disabled on local area networks. If you are
running any other firewalls, disable or remove them while
troubleshooting. The basics are that all machines must
have the same workgroup name and subnet mask of
255.255.255.0.
