Unable to use windows XP drag drop function on imation external DV

My company just bulk purchased DVD+/-R DL external burner. Model is
IMWDVRW16DL84E.

I have no problem using the Nero software provided to do burning. But when
I tried using the Windows XP Professional OS with latest windows patch, using
the drag drop method, I could not get the feature to work. The error message
says:

"Cannot copy or move file into this CD-ROM drive".

The media inserted is a DVD +RW.

But when I toubleshooted on a Windows XP Professional tablet PC edition OS,
on a HP tablet PC, the files can be moved into the media using the drag drop
method without any error.

Is there any configuration which I can do in order to achieve the drag drop
method on the normal Windows XP Pro OS.

Note: I have tried on both Desktop and Notebook using the Win XP Pro OS
but the error is the same.

Anyone with solition please reply.
