Unable to UNGROUP .emf file in powerpoint

We have to shift from Windows MetaFile(.wmf) to Enhanced MetaFile(.emf), as
we have ported our code to 32 bit from 16 bit. We were able to UNGROUP the
pasted image in PowerPoint when our code was 16 bit, since we have ported
we are not able to use the UNGROUP utility. Also I have tried various
versions of MS Office (2000 & 2003), but didnt helped. What we generally do
is copy the emf image in clipboard, then paste it in powerpoint. Then just
clicking the image and say
Grouping->UNGROUP, ungroup is disabled.
