Unable to terminate process....

help, i cant terminate process in the system username,
and it would say this

Unable to Terminate Process
The operation could not be completed.
Access is denied.

but im the admin, and its really really bothering me
becuase i cant close the process, im running windows XP
home.

im trying to kill some of the processes in the system
name, and it says acess dined, so i have no idea what to
do. i wish i could fix it becuase im the admin of the
computer. im running XP Home.

The other response to your question was asking the name of the service. Open your task manager, find the service, and look in the column that reads "Image Name". This will help us help you

I will tell you in advance, even if you are the Admin of the machine, XP does not allow you to terminate certain processes to protect you from yourself. Also, there are several viruses out there that launch themselves as processes and employ self protection mechanisms to keep you from shutting them down.

Is this process you are wanting to kill from a 3rd party (non Microsoft).
You could try using MSConfig, maybe to stop it from loading.
