Do you have any add-ins loaded? Tools, Options, Other, Advanced Options,
Add-In Manager and Com Add-Ins. See what's loaded and post back.

hello patricia,
was a busy girl today and i couldn't make back home
before now.
nothing is loaded in the Com Add-in
2 things are loaded in the Add-In Manager; 1-
DCCExtensions, 2- Exchange extensions property pages.

hope this info will be valuable for you to help with the
problem.

I'd guess it was DCC extensions. I'm not sure waht that is. you could try to
uncheck that option and see if that fixes it.
