Unable to revert to previous DPI (Vista)

I increased the DPI to enlarge the text. However, it was too large and I was
losing information on various screens. When I went back to adjust it, the OK
button was under the system tray. I couldn't raise the DPI Scaling window
to reach it and so my text is still way too large. Can anyone help?

Hi SC--

Try getting that button back on your screen by right clicking desktop> and
changing your resolution temporarily.

Another way to go at this if you have an appropriate restore point is to try
to use System Restore.

I also think you might be able to use the Tab key on that DPI skaling
dialogue box because I pretended I had your problem. Hit the tab key 3
***(THREE) times and you'll be over the OK button and badda bing you're
back where you want to be.

Temporarily enabling 'auto-hide' for your taskbar is another route

Right-click taskbar > Properties > Check the 'Auto-hide the taskbar option'

Put it back to normal once you've made the adjustment, unless you prefer it
that way of course.

Autohide is also a good idea.You do this by right clicking the
taskbar>properties and putting a check in the autohide checkbox.

Hitting the tab key 3 times>enter will do it as well when you put the DPI
box up, then hit enter.

Hi Jon,

I think I'm getting closer. When I hid the taskbar, I was able to raise the
DPI Scaling window farther. . . in fact, enough so that I can now see the
line that has the Custom DPI button and "This change will take effect after a
restart." Try as I might, I still can't get it to raise up far enough so
that the OK button is visible.

The other fellow's suggestion of tabbing three times and hitting enter while
in the DPI Scaling window did not make the OK button visible. I tried
several times.

If I ever get this fixed, I will never, ever change the font size again!

Any more ideas?

P.S. Thanks for educating me on the correct nomenclature for the info at the
bottom of the window, i.e., taskbar and not system tray. I'm kind of new at
this.

1024x768] > ok

If you try that in combination with the autohide technique, then you may be
able to make the change.
